Ming Yeh

Founding Partner

Ming founded Upshot Ventures and launched CSC Upshot in 2015 to help founders and operator angels seed their companies. She is renowned for her dedication to building and investing in high-growth and innovative tech companies, leveraging her over 20 years of experience in venture capital and over a decade of in-depth technical and operational expertise.

Prior to Upshot, she spent six years in Shanghai as the managing director at SVB Capital (part of SVB Financial Group). During her tenure, she spearheaded SVB's Asia practice, expanding its presence in China and establishing its Hong Kong office. Ming played a crucial role in assisting Chinese entrepreneurs in building globally scalable companies and served on the board of the China Venture Capital and Private Equity Association.

Prior to her time in China, Ming co-founded PacRim Venture Partners in Menlo Park, California. Similar to Upshot, PacRim facilitated the connection of capital from Asia with innovative US companies. Before her venture capital roles, Ming worked as an Investment Banker at Lehman Brothers, where she provided advisory services for venture-stage companies on mergers, acquisitions, and public offerings. She began her career as an engineer at Sun Microsystems, where she designed microprocessors and earned three patents for her work. Ming's engineering and operational background greatly contribute to the value she brings to the founders and operator angels she collaborates with. Currently, Ming serves on the board of AAMA (Asian American Multi-Technology Association) and is a member of the Wellesley College Business Leadership Council.

Ming's educational background includes an MBA from MIT Sloan, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from USC, and a B.A. in Physics from Wellesley College.
