Norman Liang

Norman Liang is a seasoned cross-border technology executive and investor with over 20 years of experience in forging partnerships, building teams, and participating in angel and venture investments. Throughout his career, he has supported founders in establishing global technology companies. His expertise spans the consumer electronics, internet, and mobile sectors where he has managed strategic alliances, launched digital products, and transformed mobile apps into billion-dollar ventures.

Norman boasts an extensive background in tech industry strategy and operations. He has served as a Board member, investor, advisor, and executive. His diverse roles in tech operations include being the Director of Corporate and Business Development at GoPro, the Head of Growth and International at Sungy Mobile (NASDAQ: GOMO), and the Director of Platform Business Development at both MindJolt (now JamCity) and Photobucket. Earlier in his career, Norman held business development roles at Nokia and IBM.

Since 2005, Norman has committed himself to mentoring and advising founders on scaling companies, offering a rich reservoir of experience and insights. In the venture ecosystem, Norman's roles have been diverse and influential. He was the Vice President and Investment Team Lead for WI Harper and Alibaba Entrepreneurs’ Fund (Taiwan) and served as the Principal of Business Development at YouWeb, a Silicon Valley incubator behind Crowdstar and OpenFeint. Norman's investment involvement extends to over 100 deals, and he is a Limited Partner in multiple venture funds.

Norman earned a BA in Economics from Haverford College, where he was the chair of the class of 1998 representative, coordinating fundraising and event management initiatives in the Bay Area. Presently, he serves as the Co-President and Board Member of the Asia America MultiTechnology Association (AAMA).
